Iryna Fedorenko, aka Semira, a well-known contemporary artist of Ukrainian origin, has just finalized her September exhibition “Deepvision,” which was on display at SchauRaum im Ackermannbogen in Munich, Germany, on September 11-22. After a very brief pause, Fedorenko is again opening a new art event at the same venue on September 25. Titled “Creating the Future,” it represents an exhibition of works by Ukrainian artists, organized under the umbrella of the international contemporary art festival TRACE. Following her dedication to the promotion of Ukrainian culture and artists, Semira took on the role of the exhibition’s organizer and curator.
What Was “Deepvision” About?
The “Deepvision” exhibition has just closed its doors in Munich after showing Iryna Fedorenko’s deeply touching artworks created in the period from 2022 to 2024. The major part of the featured paintings came from the “Spirits” series, which had already been displayed in many European cities, with one of them even being acquired by the Catholic clergy representatives.
All of the “Spirits” artworks invited the audience to a dialog with the artist on spiritual themes, while some pieces, according to Semira, evolved into standalone creative products that caused varied feelings and responses in the visitors. According to numerous reviews, none of her works featured at “Deepvision” left a viewer indifferent. This is because of the artist’s unique visual language and dedication to Ukrainian culture and spirituality, combined with her iconic portraiture style.
Iryna Fedorenko and “Creating the Future”
Now that the “Deepvision” exhibition is over, it’s time to turn the page and open a new, exciting event of the contemporary art heartbeat in Europe. This time, it is “Creating the Future,” an exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art, in which Iryna Fedorenko acts as an organizer and curator, aiding her fellow countrymen and countrywomen to expand their visibility and outreach in Europe. The exhibition is held at SchauRaum im Ackermannbogen in Munich, Germany, through October 5, 2024.
