Hurricane Helene, a killer hurricane, is now a low-pressure system with a trough of low pressure that stretched all the way back into our area early Saturday morning. This will lead to a NNW wind for our area. With that in mind, it has been a great Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 80s after morning lows in the low to mid-60s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. So, what is next? The answer to that question has both good news and bad news.
The good news is that there will be no rainy or stormy weather for the next seven days. But, the downside will be the fact that we will be almost bone dry for the foreseeable future…for some, not a drop of rain!
The upside will be cooler temperatures. Here is the breakdown for your seven day temperatures. Morning low temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s for almost all the seven day forecast. Afternoon high temperatures will likely be in the upper 80s to near 90 Sunday through next Friday. It appears that another shot of cooler air could yield mid to upper 80s by next weekend with no rain.
